WELCOME THE NEW BISHOP OF HAMILTON
POPE APPOINTS BISHOP DABROWSKI TO HAMILTON
The Most Reverend Joseph Dabrowski, C.S.M.A., currently Bishop of Charlottetown, has been appointed by His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, as the 10th Bishop of Hamilton. Bishop Dabrowski, who previously served as Auxiliary Bishop of London, is now officially the Bishop of Hamilton. He will formally take possession of the See at a ceremony on February 2, 2026, at the Cathedral Basilica of the Christ the King. Until then, the diocese will be led by an Apostolic Administrator. Born in Poland, Bishop Dabrowski is a member of the Michaelite religious order, speaks several languages, and brings a wealth of pastoral experience, including service on various Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops commissions. We warmly welcome His Excellency and ask for your prayers during this significant time of transition.
